About Our Suzuki program

We provide students with in-person group classes and private online lessons for children ages 4 - 6 utilizing the Suzuki method for the violin. We currently offer Pre-Twinkle classes and NYSSMA-Prep/Suzuki combination classes.

In-person group classes meet weekly on Saturdays at Christ Lutheran Church in East Northport, NY. We maintain comparatively small group class sizes of between 3 and 6 students affording each student more individual attention. Our 30-minute online private lessons are one-on-one sessions that will be scheduled between Gergana and the parent based on mutual availability.

Parents will join their children at both in-person group classes and private online lessons as active participants.

Please note that we only offer online private lessons and believe that a hybrid model of in-person group classes and online private lessons makes music lessons more accessible to busy families.

What is the suzuki method?

Japanese violinist, Dr. Shinichi Suzuki observed that children all over the world learn to speak their native language with ease from a young age. He applied the basic principles of learning a language to learning the violin. The ideas of parent encouragement, learning to play first by ear, and consistent repetition are some of the special qualities of the Suzuki method.

How to get started

Our parent information session will be on Saturday, September 17th at Christ Lutheran Church in East Northport, NY. Classes will begin on September 24th, 2022.

Please contact Gergana to sign-up, reserve a spot at the parent information session, or with any questions you might have at: gergana@lichambermusic.com or by using the form below.
